Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on record review and discussion with staff, the vendor failed to obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Evidence: The record for Child 1 contained documentation of a diagnosed food allergy. The record for Child 1 did not contain written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.Plan of Correction: The child will be removed from the program until the allergy care plan is received.
