The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. Guidance, resources and training links can be found on the new website childcareva.com.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/01/2021. The Center Supervisor was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 18 school-age children present on a Teacher Workday with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The day included PJ day, plans to bake and an all center bingo party. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law.
