Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all areas and equipment of the center were maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
1. In the school-age room there were 2 cubby shelves that were not secured, posing a tipping hazard.
2. Behind one of the toilets In the 2 year-old bathroom, peeling paint exposing drywall was in reach of children.Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided during the exit interview by the program director:
The program director will contact maintenance to secure the cubbies and to fix the peeling paint.
