The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. The violations listed below reflect the new VDOE codes and standards. A code crosswalk document was give to the director/owner

An in-person Initial inspection was conducted 11/19/2021. The facility space was measured for a capacity. Based on the number of toilets and sinks the capacity will be limited to 40.
Items reviewed: Staff file records, emergency supplies, age appropriate equipment, toys and games. Please see the Violation Notice for non-compliances.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record did not contain documentation of a TB test result or screening within 21 days of employment.
Evidence:
Staff #2's record contains documentation of a current TB test result dated 1/26/21. (Effective corporation Date of Hire: 12/10/18).Plan of Correction: A previous administrator would remove documentation when new documentation arrived. Administration staff will be instructed to not remove any old documentation from the record.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-4 Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record does not contain documentation of a completed Criminal History Record Check and a Child Abuse and Neglect Search for a state they have resided in within the past 5 years.
Evidence:
Staff #1 resided in Texas within the past 5 years.
