This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on December 17, 2021 and concluded on December 21, 2021. There were 24 children present with three staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-540-A Description: Based on review of staff records, the center failed to ensure a tuberculosis screening or test was completed prior to coming into contact with children.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1's tuberculosis screening was dated 11/10/2021. Date of employment for Staff #1 was 11/1/2021. Staff #1 was on site and in contact with children on 11/3/2021.
2. Staff verified the date of the tuberculosis screening, date of employment, and the date the staff member was first in contact with children.Plan of Correction: In the future staff will not be able to go on site until a completed tuberculosis screening is on file.
