This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on January 6, 2022 and concluded on January 12, 2022. There were 28 children present with nine staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on review of staff files, the center failed to ensure that the annual health and safety training course was taken annually.
Evidence:
1. Staff #5's file did not contain documentation that the three hour annual health and safety training was completed during 2021.
2. Staff #6's file did not contain documentation that the three hour annual health and safety training was completed during 2021.
3. Staff verified that the annual health and safety training had not been completed for Staff #5 and Staff #6.Plan of Correction: All staff will be scheduled to take the three hour health and safety training for 2021 by January 31, 2022.
