Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including phone contacts, documents review, and a virtual inspection.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 01/31/2022 and concluded on 02/10/2022. The director was contacted by phone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 24 children present, ranging in ages from infant to preschool age, with 8 staff supervising and or present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and three staff records were reviewed.

The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A
Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not have an annual fire inspection.
Evidence:
1. The last fire inspection report documentation was 10/16/2020. 2. The director stated the fire inspection was conducted 2/2/2022 but the fire inspector has not sent the report yet.

Plan of Correction: The director has emailed the fire inspector for the report and will send it to the licensing inspector when it is received.
