22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review and interviews.
A 60 Day monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/4/2022 and concluded on 2/7/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 7 children present, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4
Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain out of state criminal history results and out of state child abuse and neglect registry results for a staff member that has resided outside the state of Virginia in the preceding five years.

Evidence:
Staff #2's (DOH: 10/01/2021) record did not include criminal history results and abuse and neglect results from a state the employee had resided in within the past five years.
