This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review and interviews.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 02/22/2022 and concluded on 02/25/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 26 children present, ranging in ages from 3 years to 5 years, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-245-A Description: Based on record reviews, the facility failed to ensure that staff complete 16 hours of training annually.
Evidence:
1. The inspector reviewed three staff records. Staff record #3 contained documentation of 2.5 hours of annual training.Plan of Correction: Will bring staff up to date with training hours.
