The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

An unannounced on-site renewal study was conduct4ed. 3 rooms were in operation with direct care staff in ratio. Observed outside play time, hand washing, reading/discussion of a book and transition to lunchtime. Lunch served today was Salisbury steak, peas and rice with milk. Reviewed a sample of staff and children's records, injury updates, emergency preparation and trainings. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
