The following was clarified with the provider cribs shall be used for children under 12 months of age and for children over 12 months of age who are not developmentally ready to sleep on a cot or mat.
Discussed reviewing the new CDC standards that became effective 10-13-2021 and the new website (Child Care VA) https://www.doe.virginia.gov/cc/.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on March 23, 2022 and concluded on March 24 2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 38 children present, ranging in ages from 6 months to 5 years, with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on record review of 3 children's records and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure the center kept a separate record for each child enrolled which shall contained all required information.
Evidence: The record for child #1 did not include the appropriate legal paperwork on file when the custodial parent requests the center not to release the child to the other paren.Plan of Correction: I have spoken to the parent today 3/24/2022 and she will provide the document she is out of town now. She will bring in next week.
