Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-2 Description: Based on a review of three staff records and interview, the center did not ensure one staff member obtained a fingerprint based background check determination letter prior to employment.
Evidence: 1) The fingerprint determination letter in the record for Staff #1, hired on 02/24/2022, was dated 07/07/21. 2) During interview, a member of management reported Staff #1 was previously hired by the center in July 2021, but was terminated from employment in August 2021. Staff #1 was rehired on 02/24/2022, but new fingerprints were not completed prior to the first day of employment.Plan of Correction: Moving forward, all rehires will complete new fingerprints prior to hire.
