This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using a hybrid in-person/remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and an in person tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was conducted on 04/04/2022. The director was contacted by email and an on site inspection was conducted. There were 40 preschool aged children present, with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: It was determined the center did not ensure that all areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, were maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
There was peeling paint on some of the bookcases, tables, desks throughout the building.Plan of Correction: Staff will touch up paint on the equipment.
