22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education
- Technical Assistance:

Provided consultation on:
1) ensuring mulch is raked so that their is an adequate fall zone around and under all playground equipment
2) walking the perimeter of the playground to ensure that the fence surrounding the playground is secure; repair any broken boards
3) ensuring that there is no rust on swing chains; replace as necessary
4) ensuring that there is no chipped or peeling paint on playground equipment
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:45 am - 12:15 pm with staff. There were 69 children, ranging from three years to six years of age, present with ten staff supervising. Children were observed playing outside with the PE teacher, completing literacy lessons, playing in centers, working on art projects, listening to a story and eating lunch. Lunch served today was chicken and waffles, mixed vegetables, pears and milk. Four children's records and four staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Five medications and authorization forms, two allergy care plans, two accident reports, the written allergy list, daily attendance records, and the emergency drill log were all reviewed and in compliance.
