An in-person investigation was conducted today in response to an allegation being received in our office. Based on staff interviews the preponderance of evidence supports the allegation. The complaint is valid. See Violation Notice for non-compliances.
a violation cited was found during the course of the investigation, and is not related to the complaint. LIs were present from 2:40PM to 3:45 PM.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-B-4 Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on staff interviews, a 1:10 ratio has not been maintained in the preschool classroom (4 years to school age eligible).
Evidence: Staff stated that there were 15 children and 1 staff person recently in the preschool classroom.Plan of Correction: The licensing standard 22VAC40-185-350 was misinterpreted for this specific age group.
