An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 6:55am-7:30am. There were 3 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, programming, menus, 4 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed eating breakfast and participating in quiet tabletop activities. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-70 Description: Based on record review and staff interview, staff records were not available for review at the time of inspection.
Evidence: Staff #1 and Staff #2 were both present at the time of inspection and their records were kept in a locked cabinet and were not accessible at the time of inspection.Plan of Correction: Principal will white out salary information on staff files so they can be stored in an accessible cabinet.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not have documentation of an annual fire inspection.
Evidence: The most recent fire inspection on file was dated 8/13/2020.Plan of Correction: Fire inspection (update) was in new binder. See attached.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-D Description: Based on review of the emergency drill log, the center has not completed all monthly evacuation drills.
Evidence: An emergency evacuation drill was not completed in December 2021.Plan of Correction: Drill log sheet had been moved to a new binder. The updated log has been put in place. See attached.
