An on-site renewal inspection was conducted on May 12, 2022. There were 103 children present, ranging in age from 4 months to 5 years and in the care of 16 staff members with three additional staff members available to assist if needed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staff qualifications and training, staffing and supervision, programming, special services, medications, special care provisions and emergencies. A total of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined a non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-320-B Description: Based on measurements taken and discussion with director, the running water used for washing hands in three areas was not warm.
Evidence:
1. On 05/12/2022, the running water was not warm to touch and measured to be 72.4 degrees Fahrenheit in Classroom A, 63.4 degrees in children's restrooms in the center of the building, and 61.5 degrees in Classroom C.
2. The director confirmed that the water was not warm to touch.Plan of Correction: During the inspection, the director immediately called a plumber. He arrived during the inspection, found the problem and was addressing it when the inspector left.
