Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and training.
Discussion that the facility has at least (1) one carbon monoxide detector installed on-site.

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 05/18/2022, between the hours of 10:15 am to 12:30 pm. There were 47 children present, preschool-age, with 11 staff supervising, across a total of 5 rooms. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and 14 staff records (to include 1 new staff file) were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: Based on review, 1 of 15 staff files indicated that a certificate of completion for the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course (to be completed within 90 calendar days of employment) was not available.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (05/18/2022), a certificate of completion for the 10 hours Virginia Pre-service training was not available for review for Staff #14.
2. The start date for Staff #14 was listed as 11/15/2021.Plan of Correction: The Director will check with Staff #14 to obtain this certificate and place it on file. If the course is still in progress, it shall be completed.
