An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 5/19/2022 from 9:36am0 to 10:44am. At the time of entrance, 6 children were in care with 3 staff members present. Children were observed doing the following: playing with balls outside, washing hands and eating snack. The site was organized and contained developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills and attendance records were reviewed. Evidence:
1. Child #1 (start date 1/06/2022) was missing two emergency contact addresses.Plan of Correction: I will call the child's parent and get the addresses today.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-I Description: Based on interview, documentation of orientation training were not kept by the center.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 (Date of hire 2/18/2022) did not have orientation documentation in the file. Staff #3 stated the training was completed 3/02/2022, but did not have the document filled out or signed.Plan of Correction: I will have the staff member fill it out today.
