Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and training.

Comments:
This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 05/27/2022, between the hours of 10 am to 1 pm. There were 5 preschool children present, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 7 children records, and 4 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there were (2) two non-compliances with applicable standards. These violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A
Description: Based on review, 1 of 7 children files indicated that not all of the required information was contained within each child's file.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (05/27/2022), the name, address, and phone number of two designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached was not available for Child #1.

Plan of Correction: All missing information will be documented and placed on file.

Description: Based on review, 2 of 4 staff files did not have 2 or more references documented within their file.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (05/27/2022), two or more references were not available for review for the following staff: Staff #1, and Staff #2.
2. This was confirmed on the date of inspection by the center director.
