Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on June 6, 2022. There were 76 children present with 16 staff members. The children were observed finishing lunch; veggie burger, potato wedges, green beans and milk, and getting ready for nap. Areas reviewed during the inspection include staffing and supervision, medications, nutrition, emergency procedures, and physical plant inside and out. Five children's records and five staff members records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: Based on observation cots were not identified for use by a specific child.
Evidence
The occupied cots in the Pre-K and Preschool classrooms were not labeled for individual use by a specific child.

Plan of Correction: The cots will be labeled with a number that correlates to a child's name on a chart that will posted in the classroom.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B
Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface is not being cleaned and sanitized after each use.
Evidence
The diapering surface was not cleaned and sanitized after each use in the Discovery Preschool classroom. The surface was sprayed with a solution to clean it, but not a solution to sanitize it.

Plan of Correction: All staff will be retrained to ensure they are using the proper two step process of cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces.
