Reviewed suggestions for additional toys and materials to be added to the classrooms.

Comments:
An initial inspection for licensure was conducted on 6/22/2022. There are currently no children in care. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administrative records, background checks, sample children's records, emergency preparedness, the indoor and outdoor physical plant, nutrition services, and staff health records.

The classrooms and outdoor play spaces are well equipped and child-friendly.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-430-G
Description: Based on observations, it was determined one piece of indoor climbing equipment was not placed over an adequate level of resilient surface.
Evidence:
In the Indoor Gym the dome climber was placed over a very thin rubber pad. This rubber pad was not of adequate thickness for the piece of climbing equipment. In addition, the rubber pad did not fully cover all fall zones for the climbing equipment.

Plan of Correction: We no longer plan to use the dome climber. We plan to either remove it or replace it with a different piece of equipment before children enter care.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the diapering stations were not equipped as required.
Evidence:
1 - It was reported to the Inspector that the center will use a new disposable paper on top of the diapering pad in between each diaper change. The disposable diapering paper for all of the diapering stations was not on site.
2 - The diapering stations were not equipped with sanitizing solution to use after changing the disposable paper.

Plan of Correction: The disposable diapering paper is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. It will be in place at all diapering stations before children enter care.
