Technical Assistance:
Recomend to review CPR and First Aid requirements and keep up maintence on the resilent surfacing by keep a loose filled material.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 30, 2022 from approximately 8:40am-10:10am. There were 48 children present at this time with 12 staff members. Additional staff were on site for administrative and support services. Children were observed eating morning snack , outside playing, restroom break, participating in station activities,diapering and tummy time . Five staff records and 5 children records were reviewed during the inspection. Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, medication procedures, emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C
Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure every two years from the date of the first tuberculosis screening there was updated results.

Evidence :

Staff #3 most recent TB test results provided remotley during inspection was 06/26/2020. Which is more than 2 years old.

Plan of Correction: The wrong documentation was submitted once realized we resubmitted the correct documentation.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B
Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure to have each staff sanitize the diapering surface after each use as required.

Evidence: In the toddler and woddler classroom, the staff confirmed they do not santize the diapering surface after each diapering change.

In the in the twos room, the staff person changed one child's diaper, cleaned the diapering surface with soap and water, and changed a second child's diaper. The staff person did not sanitize [treat in such a way to remove bacteria and viruses from inanimate surfaces through using a disinfectant solution (i.e., bleach solution or commercial chemical disinfectant) or physical agent (e.g., heat)] the diapering surface after each use. The staff stated that she typically sanitizes the pad at the end of diapering the children.

Plan of Correction: To review with staff the proper diaper changing procedure for cleaning after each child.
