An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 9/12/2022 from 9:30am through 11:15am. There were 6 children ranging in ages from three years to four years directly supervised by 1 staff. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. It was reported there were no medications on site. Children were observed practicing sign language, working on a craft project, singing, and eating snack. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. The staff on site was current in CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and MAT certification at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-G Description: Based on documentation review, the center did not maintain documentation of all monthly emergency evacuation drills.
Evidence: The center did not have a fire drill documented for the month of April 2022.Plan of Correction: The school's staff will be more diligent on scheduling monthly drills and correctly record each drill performed.
