An unannounced Renewal Inspection took place on 09/21/2022 between the hours of approximately 9:20 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. There were 2 classrooms observed with a total of 8 children with 2 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed identifying fruit and letter sounds and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant and playground was completed. Children and staff records, fire drill log, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation, areas and equipment of the center, outside, were not maintained in a safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. There were two metal chairs on the playground that were rusting and had chipped and peeling paint.
2. There was cracked plastic on the windowsill of the log cabin play structure on the playground.
