A monitoring inspection regarding a self reported incident regarding behavior guidance was conducted October 6, 2022. The inspector reviewed video footage of the incident and conducted interviews. The preponderance of evidence determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-400-B Description: Based on interview and review of video footage, behavior guidance was observed not being constructive in nature, age and stage appropriate and was not intended to redirect a child to appropriate behavior.
Evidence
On September 31, 2022, staff #1 was observed on video footage demonstrating behavior guidance that was not constructive in nature, age and stage appropriate and was not intended to redirect to a child.Plan of Correction: Staff member involved was terminated. All of staff was retrained on appropriate behavior guidance.
