A monitoring inspection was initiated on 10/5/2022 and concluded on 10/5/2022. There were 44 children directly supervised by 4 staff members. Children were engaged in group activities in the gym and art activities. The physical plant, 3 child records, 4 staff training records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies and policies were inspected. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-245-J-3 Description: Based on a review of medications and staff trainings, Any child for whom emergency medications (such as albuterol, glucagon, and epinephrine auto injector) have been prescribed are not in the care of a staff member trained in MAT administration.
Evidence: There were several children in attendance with emergency medications, there were no staff with current MAT certifications.Plan of Correction: Staff will sign up for the MAT certification.
