Discussed keeping an eye on the rust that is developing on the bar above the swings.
Discussed ensuring that sight and sound supervision is provided to all children who are engaged in handwashing.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:00 noon ? 2:00 pm with the center director. There were 51 children, ranging from two years to five years of age, present with seven staff supervising. Children were observed washing hands preparing for lunch, eating lunch, playing outside on the playground, listening to stories, and preparing for nap. Lunch served today: turkey and cheese whole wheat wraps, vegys and ranch dip, oranges and milk. Five child records, three staff records, and one emergency medication along with the emergency drill log, daily attendance, written allergy list, playground and fire and health inspections were reviewed. Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on review of three staff records, it was determined that not all Out of State Child Abuse and Neglect Search requests were completed, as required, within 30 days of employment for staff who indicated they have lived outside of Virginia in the past five years. Evidence: the record for staff #3, (Date of hire: 8/12/2022), who indicated that they have lived out of the state of Virginia in the past five years, had no documentation of an out of state central registry search request. Plan of Correction: The search request was submitted 10/6/2022. Going forward all out of state search requests will be conducted in required timeframes.
