A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on October 12, 2022 from 5pm to approximately 6:15pm. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental Inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was discussed with the site director at the exit interview.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that for each staff person there be a certification of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 (date of hire 10/18/2021) does not have a certification of first aid and CPR.
2. Staff #1, the Director, confirmed that Staff #2 does not have a certification of first aid and CPR.Plan of Correction: The vendor responded with the following: Staff #2 will get certified in first aid and CPR and will place her certificate in their case record.
