CDCs operate on ratio standards based on the age of children.. There is no "point system" for the center when staffing for children.
Discussed sight and sound supervision of children on the playground (blind spots).

An in person investigation was begun today in response to an allegation being received in our office. Based on multiple staff interviews and direct observation, the preponderance of evidence supports the allegation. The complaint is valid for failing to maintain proper ratios based on ages of children, and age and stage appropriate activities.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-B-2 Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on observation, one classroom on the playground did not maintain a ratio of 1 staff to 5 children for a group that included children aged 16 months to 24 months.

Evidence:
On multiple occasions, in the morning and late afternoon, the Ducklings (infants) are often combined with the Bunnies (Toddler/2's) class. The ratio of 1 staff to 4 children has not been maintained.
