A monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/10/2022 between the hours of approximately 9:30 am and 12:00 pm. There were 117 children present, ranging in ages from 17 months to 6 years, with 16 staff supervising.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not ensure that documentation of negative tuberculosis (Tb) screening for each employee met all requirements.
Evidence:
1) The documentation shall have been completed within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment. The Tb screening form in Staff #1's (start date 08/25/2021) record was dated 108/05/2021.Plan of Correction: Employee will repeat Tb test.
