A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 5, 2022, to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 10:15 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 26 children with 5 staff supervising. Four children records and seven staff records were reviewed and updated.
A licensing code compliance inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on record review the center failed to
have one staff member complete the departments
health and safety course update.
Evidence:
1. Seven staff records were reviewed and updated.
2. Staff #3 and Staff #6 did not have documentation of completing the departments annual health and safety update course.
3. Staff #3 last documentation was dated on 03/14/2021. Staff #6 last documentation was dated 4/25/2021.
4. The director confirmed the annual updated had not been completed.Plan of Correction: Staff will complete the annual updated health and safety course as soon as possible.
