Comments:
An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated on 10/19/2022 from 9:30am to 10:45am in response to a complaint received in the licensing office regarding behavioral guidance and forbidden actions with 2 staff members. Interviews were conducted with staff, policies and procedures were reviewed, classrooms were observed, and documentation was viewed. Children were observed participating in math activities, legos, dramatic play, and sensory exploration. Staff to child ratios were in compliance during the inspection. Based on the preponderance of evidence collected throughout the investigation, the complaint regarding behavioral guidance was determined to be valid. Three citations were issued as a result of the findings of the investigation. The remaining citations were discovered during the inspection. The exit interview was conducted on 12/7/2022 with a manager. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Angela Dudek at angela.dudek@doe.virginia.gov.
