An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 12/5/22 from 10:00am to 11:45am with the Preschool Coordinator. There were 55 children in care, ranging in age from two-years to five-years-old, supervised by eight staff. The children were observed playing on the playground, coloring, and eating snack. Five child records, three staff records, and five Board Officer records were reviewed. The Center has 16 staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, and 17 staff trained in Daily Health Observation Training. Five medications and authorization forms were reviewed and the center has six staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent Fire Inspection on file was dated 1/22/22 and the most recent Health Inspection on file was dated 11/22/21. Description: Based on review of three staff records, the center did not obtain documentation of the results of a national fingerprint background check prior to employment for a staff member. Evidence: The fingerprints on record for Staff #1, with an employment date of 8/2022, were dated 9/2/22.

Plan of Correction: We will ensure that fingerprints are obtained prior to hire moving forward.
