An announced initial inspection was conducted on 01/10/2023. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 3 applicant records were reviewed. The center was measured to determine the license capacity and the required emergency supplies and policy/procedures were reviewed. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8:40 am and departed the center at 11:45 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-B Description: Based on document review, the center failed to ensure that the emergency preparedness plan shall contain all of the procedural components as required by the standards.
Evidence:
1. The evacuation procedures did not include the following information: accommodations or special instructions for infants, toddlers and children with special needs to ensure their safety during evacuation or relocation.
2. The shelter-in-place procedure did not include the following information: securing of essential documents, including attendance records, parent contact information for staff and supplies are taken to the assembly point or relocation site; and accommodations or special instructions for infants, toddlers and children with special needs to ensure their safety during evacuation or relocation.
3. The lockdown procedures did not include the following information: accommodations or special instructions for infants, toddlers and children with special needs to ensure their safety during evacuation or relocation.
4. The emergency preparedness plans did not include information regarding the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.Plan of Correction: Will made the changes to the procedures.
