An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/10/2023. There were 26 children, ages 4 months-5years and 6 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed during center time, circle time and lunch. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 10:30am and departed the center at 11:47am.
Discussion on standards related to diapering surfaces.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-440-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all cribs, cots, rest mats or beds shall be identified for use by a specific child.
Evidence: The crib next to the window in the infant area was not labeled with the name of the specific child it was assigned to.Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure crib is labeled with specific child's name.
