A renewal inspection was conducted on January 11, 2023, approximately 2:01 pm to 2:35 pm. Program Director accompanied Licensing on the walk-through. The children were observed waking up from rest time. A walk-through was conducted of two classrooms.
Limited monitoring of child care requirements occurred during today?s visit. Licensing inspector monitored supervision of children, physical plant, staff/child ratios, adequate and approved space, programming, and nutrition. There were no medication on-site at this time.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C Description: Based on 5 staff records review, the center did not obtain for staff at least every two years from the date of the first initial screening or testing, or more frequently as if recommended by a licensed physician or the local health department, staff members and individuals from independent contractors shall obtain and submit the results of a follow-up tuberculosis screening as stated in subsection B of this section.
Evidence:
1. Staff #3 tuberculosis screening expired on 8/28/2022.Plan of Correction: I will request staff to get immediately.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on classroom observations, the center did not maintain areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. In two of the classrooms, there were protruding screws on the base of the toilets that did not have toilet caps. The bathrooms are accessible to children for use.Plan of Correction: I will put in repair order for toilet caps.
