Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted. Although the facility is offering "winter break" cam, there were no children in care that day. Anticipated enrollment for the week is eight children. There were two staff and the program director present at the time of the inspection. All program areas were inspected. The sample size was two staff and two children's records.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C
Description: Based on a review of staff records and interviews, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that each staff member obtained an updated tuberculosis (Tb) screening within two years of the their last screening.

Evidence:
1. The most recent Tb screening for staff #1 was dated 9/15/20, and was therefore over two years old.
2. Staff #2 (program director verified that the test was expired.

Plan of Correction: Staff #1 will ensure that staff #2 obtains Tb screening this week.
