A renewal inspection was initiated on 2-1-23 and concluded on 2-1-23. There were 41 children present with 8 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:30am and concluded at 11:00am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-C Description: Based on temperature readings the facility failed to ensure that the areas used by the children were 68 degrees or above.
Evidence:
In classrooms #1-#3 the temperature reading on the inspectors thermometer at the time of inspection read 66.4 degrees-67.5 degrees.
Classroom #1 read 66.4 degrees.
Classroom #2 read 67.5 degrees.
Classroom #3 read 67.4 degrees.Plan of Correction: The administration set both of the main thermostats in the facility to 72 degrees to aid in raising the temperatures in the three classrooms.
