A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/2/23 and concluded on 2/2/23. There were 40 children present, ranging in ages from 3 months to 5 years, with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-40-M Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure the written allergy list for staff was kept confidential in each room.
Evidence:
In the PreK room, a sign was posted listing the name of a child in the class and stating the child's allergy and medication the child was prescribed for the allergy.Plan of Correction: The sign will be moved to a location in the classroom for only staff to see.
