An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 02/09/2023 from 11:12 am - 1:00 pm. At the time of entrance there were 72 children in care with 11 teaching staff. The children ranged in age from infant - five years.
Children were observed during morning program time and lunch. Outdoor play was observed for one class and one diaper change was observed in the toddler classroom. Nap was reviewed at the conclusion of the inspection.
Records reviewed for four children and five staff.
One violation was found which is listed on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Based on record review, the center failed to ensure that the screening for tuberculosis shall be submitted at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children.
Evidence:
1. The TB screening for staff 1 was completed on 09/15/2022 which is after her hire date of 09/06/022.Plan of Correction: All staff will obtain a TB screening prior to employment going forward.
