A monitoring inspection was initiated on February 15, 2023 and concluded on February 15, 2023. There were 19 children present with 8 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 8 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on record review and staff interview the center did not maintain a record for each child enrolled which contained all of the required information.
Evidence: The director confirmed that the following items were missing from children?s records:
? The records for child #3 and #4 did not contain first date of attendance or proof of identity.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A Description: Based on observation and staff interviews the center did not ensure for each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-440-E Description: Based on observation and staff interview the center did not ensure there shall be at least 12 inches of space between occupied cots, beds, and rest mats.
Evidence: Children were observed during naptime. There was approximately 2-6 inches between the cots in the Toddler classroom and the cots were directly touching in the 3-4 year old classroom.
