Today we discussed food allergies versus food preferences or food sensitivities.
If it is documented that a child has a food "allergy" then the child's record must contain an allergy plan, completed and signed by the child's physician. If a food is NOT an allergen, then please discuss and have the parent change and initial the paperwork and indicate that they merely prefer the child not eat the specified food or that the child has a sensitivity to a specified food and it is preferred that they do not eat that food. This is an important distinction and should be handled accordingly.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed on 2/17/2023. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
