Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 3/6/2023 and concluded on 3/6/2023. There were 105 children directly supervised by 28 staff members. Children were observed during handwashing, learning about minerals, the land, cloud art, science with water and cotton balls, dinosaurs and racetracks. The physical plant, 5 child records, 4 staff records, medications, evacuation drills, and emergency supplies were inspected. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-I
Description: Based on a review of children medications, the center has not maintained that all prescription medications are labeled in accordance with the prescribers instructions pertaining to dosage, frequency and manner of administration.
Evidence: child #1 has a emergency medication which does not have the pharmacy label with the instructions pertaining to dosage, frequency and manner of administration.

Plan of Correction: The parent was immediately called to bring in the pharmacy label for the medication. Going forward, all prescription medications will have the pharmacy label.
