An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 4/14/2023 from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. There were 33 children supervised by 3 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, and evacuation drills were inspected. No medication onsite. Children were observed participating in group play, washing hands, and eating lunch. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not obtain all the required information for each child's record.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 is missing one emergency contact home address.
2. Child #3 is missing two emergency contacts' home addresses.Plan of Correction: I will make sure they add the completed addresses.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation and interview, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: A multi-purpose cleaner spray bottle and two disinfectant spray bottles were kept in an unlocked cabinet under the classroom sink.Plan of Correction: corrected during inspection.
Standard #: 8VAC20-820-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation and interview, the SACC program failed to post on the premises the most recent inspection of the facility.
Evidence:
1. The most recent inspection report of the facility, dated 11/16/2022, was not posted.
