63.2 Child Abuse & Neglect

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today beginning at 2:15pm. At the time of entrance, 44 children were in care with 3 staff members present. The physical space, evacuation drills, attendance records, medications, the Emergency Preparedness Plan, 2 children's records and Staff certification for CPR/First Aid and Mat training were reviewed. Ratios were in compliance and required documents were posted. The site was clean and organized. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. The children were observed checking in when they arrived, washing hands, eating snack and working on computers. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Description: Based on review of the injury prevention plan, the procedures had not been updated at least annually.
Evidence:
1. The center had an injury prevention plan dated 11/11/2021, but it was not updated based on documentation of injuries and a review of the activities and services.

Description: Based on review, the center did not maintain a current written list of all children's
allergies,sensitivities, and dietary restrictions and was not dated.
Evidence:
1. The center had an allergy list, but it was not dated and was not current. Child #3 was listed on the allergy list, but the staff member stated the child no longer attended the center and had been gone approximately 2 months.
