Comments:
Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 12:20-1:15pm. There was a total of 87 children with 10 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed being held and fed bottles, playing with blocks, resting during their designated rest period and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A
Description: Based on a review of staff records, 1 out of 3 staff did not complete the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.

Evidence:
1. Staff #2 (doh: 10/17/2022) did not have documentation of completing The Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment at the time of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: I will have the staff member complete it by tomorrow.

Standard #: 8VAC20-820-120-E-5
Description: Based on observation, the Notice of the Superintendent's intent to take an action listed in subdivisions B 1 through B 6 of ? 22.1-289.023 of the Code of Virginia was not posted in a prominent place at each public entrance of the facility to advise consumers of serious or persistent violations.

Evidence:
1. The Notice of Intent issued to the facility on 3/31/2023 was not posted in a prominent place at each public entrance of the facility to advise consumers of serious or persistent violations at the time of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: I did not realize it needed to be posted. I will post it.
