Waiting on Health Dept. to call for virtual inspection. We do not have a kitchen or prepare food on-site so we have inspections over the phone.

Evidence:
The long telephone cord in the older infant room was hanging within reach of the children sitting at the table. The telephone cord in the Green Frogs classroom was hanging within reach of the children.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Installed hooks on wall to hang the phone cords on so they are out of reach.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B Description: Based upon observation and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that diaper changing stations are equipped with diaper disposal systems that are operated in such a way that the staff person's hands nor the soiled diaper touch the outside of the disposal system.
Evidence:
1. The lid on the diaper disposal system in the Khaki Kangaroo classroom is broken and no longer lifts the lid high enough to drop the soiled diaper inside.
2. Classroom staff confirmed that the lid on the disposal can is no longer working.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-E Description: Based upon review of medication stored for administration to children and the facility's procedure for parent authorization for the administration of medication, the facility has not ensured that their procedures are followed.
Evidence:
The facility's procedure for parent authorization to administer over the counter medication requires new authorization every ten days. There was a container of ibuprofen to be administered to child 9. The parent authorization was from 4/17/2023 - 6/15/2023.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Parent understood 10 day policy, but noted dates incorrectly. Form was corrected by parent day of licensing visit.
