A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was initiated on Thursday, April 6, 2023 and concluded on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. On April 6, 2023, the inspector was on site from 9:45am to approximately 11:55am. There were a total of 39 children in care in the direct care of 10 staff members. During the inspection, the children and staff were observed participating in a variety of activities. Staff were observed having positive interactions with the children. All areas of the facility used by the children were inspected. The center is equipped with toys and supplies and items were available to the children. The required postings were reviewed and found to be in compliance. Medication is administered when required and medications were reviewed. Transportation is provided and three buses were inspected during the inspection. Five children's records, five staff records, and board officers' background checks were reviewed. Additional documentation was submitted to the inspector electronically on April 11, 2023. A licensing inspection was also conducted on these dates. The inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during the supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Description:	Based on a review of five staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure one staff had current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of the date of employment. Evidence: 1) The CPR certification in the record of Staff #5, employed on 09/12/22, was obtained on 03/08/23. 2) During interview, a member of management confirmed Staff #5 did not have current certification in CPR within 90 days of the date of employment.
