Discussed with center director: Attendance records, posting of center documents, and a quiet area for children that may need rest time.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 3:05 pm to 4:00pm. There were 45 children with 4 staff members supervising. The children were observed playing outdoors, eating afternoon snack and leaving for the day. The snack included graham crackers, mixed fruit and water. Children were also observed playing with table top toys, games and completing homework. 3 staff records, 3 children's records and other center documents were reviewed to assess compliance. Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F Description: Based on observation, the license required by the Superintendent was not posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
Evidence: The most current license was not posted on site.Plan of Correction: Site Director printed out the current license and placed it on the site licensing board.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, cleaning materials were accessible to children.
Evidence: A bottle of cleaning solution and two bottles of liquid spill absorbent were found sitting on a table where children could reach.Plan of Correction: Site Director will inspect the program designated area to make sure the space clear, and or locked up of cleaning materials, and all hazardous items left out.
